Privacy policy
Draft — pending legal review. Last updated July 12, 2026.
The short version
LoopSiege is a location game, so we handle your location with care: territory is public, your routes are not. We don't sell data, run ads, or embed third-party trackers.
What we collect
- Account: email address, username, display name, password (stored as a bcrypt hash).
- Rides: GPS points (location, time, accuracy, altitude, heading, speed) you record or upload, and statistics derived from them. Speed is used only to validate rides — never for rankings.
- Territory: which map cells your rides influenced.
- Billing: subscription status. Payments are processed by Stripe, Apple, or Google — we never see card numbers.
- Web sessions: IP address and browser user-agent for signed-in sessions.
What others can see
- Your username, display name, territory cells, and leaderboard position are visible to other riders.
- Your ride routes are private by default. Even your own displayed routes hide the first and last 300 m, plus any privacy zones you define (Settings).
- Territory never reveals the route that created it.
Deletion
- Deleting a ride permanently removes its GPS data.
- Deleting your account permanently removes your account, rides, GPS data, tokens, and influence; cells you held become neutral. This is immediate and irreversible.
- Game influence already aggregated to map cells is not attributable to a single ride and fades on a 30-day half-life.
Where data lives
Data is stored in our production database and processed only to run the game (loop detection, territory scoring, leaderboards, anti-cheat review). GPS coordinates are excluded from application logs. The only third parties involved are our infrastructure host, map tile provider, and payment processors.
